Themes and session formatsThe first stream is relevant for presenting HSR findings. Results can be based on primary or secondary data sources, employ quantitative and/or qualitative research methods and derive from completed or ongoing research. Recommendations / conclusions should demonstrate contributions of the described research to enhancing universal health coverage in a particular setting and the potential applications to other settings, if applicable.
ThemesPolitical economy of universal coverage: historic analysis; social, political and economic context; policies, processes and power relationships Health System Financing: contemporary financing mechanisms and issues Scaling-up of health services: vertical or sectoral across disease and health programs at primary, secondary or tertiary levels Monitoring and Evaluation: Health systems surveillance, impact and other types of evaluation research Knowledge translation: translating health systems research into policy and practice. Session formatsPanel (moderated session with 4 or 5 presenters) Roundtable (multiple roundtable presentations taking place at the same time in a room) Fishbowl (moderated discussion with a panel of 7-8 people seated in a circle, with an opportunity for the audience to join in and become part of the “fishbowl”) Lightning talks (short presentations that last only a few minutes, and several will usually be delivered in a single period by different speakers) Poster (visual presentation with charts, graphs, photos and text to describe the project of study) ScholarshipIf you want to apply for a scholarship please click here for more information. |
