Satellite meetings are scheduled to allow organizations to take advantage of the presence of participants in Montreux. Some of these gatherings (such as Board meetings) are by invitation only; others are open for participants to join in freely.
Deadline for application - 30 September
Logistics
Satellite meetings take place in the conference centre but are fully organized and coordinated by the organization hosting the satellite (private company, government agency, institution or NGO). Conference organizers will allocate slots according to availability on the conference programme. Please note that: • Short (60 to 90-minute) satellite sessions will take place only in the mornings (07:00-08:30), from Tuesday, 16 November to Friday, 19 November 2010. • Longer (greater than 90-minute) satellite sessions will take place all day on Monday, 15 November, or during the afternoon of Friday, 19 November, and in the evenings (18:00-20:00) on Wednesday, 17 November and Thursday, 18 November 2010. Rooms are equipped with all the standard equipment required to run a meeting. If you have special needs or requests, please make these available in your proposal.
Please note that the above dates and times are subject to change.
Costs
Space for satellite meetings may be provided free of cost, if the meeting is open to all Symposium participants. If the meeting is closed (for example, board meetings or meetings by invitation only) a fee will be charged, depending on number of people and duration of meeting.
