logo The First Symposium on Health Research Systems offers many opportunities to meet and network with other participants. The Marketplace is one such opportunity, which lasts throughout the meeting.

If you represent an organization or institution that would like to display its projects, new initiatives, publications or products to other participants – provided that these are relevant to the theme of the First Global Symposium on Health Research Systems– you can request a stall in the Marketplace.

There will be stalls for both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations at the Marketplace. Please indicate on the market stall request form which category applies to your institution. No goods or services may be sold in the Marketplace nor the Symposium venue. All requests need to be approved by the Symposium Secretariat for suitability to the programme and to the objectives and mandate of the Symposium.

Keep in mind that market stall space is not guaranteed; places are limited and there will be a screening process.

First come, first served.

Conditions

The person responsible for the stall must be a registered Symposium participant

It is not possible to sell anything at your stall.

At least one person (registered) is expected to be present at the stall at all times during the event.

Reservations and logistics

A market stall can be rented for the duration of the Symposium at the cost of USD 5000. However, not-for-profit organizations from low and middle income countries are encouraged to apply for a fee waiver and have the possibility of obtaining a marketplace stall free of charge. The stall is 4 square meters (2mx2m) and consists of a table, chair and poster board, click here for a photo and description.

Set up will be done on Monday, November 15th, between 8am and 6pm. Dismantling will take place on November 19th as of 2pm and must be completed by 6pm.

You will be assigned an area for your stall. Please respect the space allocated.
 

Deadlines

Marketplace stall space is not a guarantee; places are limited and there will be a screening process in place.

Marketplace stalls will be attributed after screening on a first come, first served basis until the below mentioned deadlines.

Please find as follows the deadlines:

Applications for paying stalls must be received by 15 September 2010

In order to validate this applications, payments must be received by 20 September 2010

If you are a not-for-profit organization from a low and middle income country and wish to have the fee for a stall waived, the deadline for application is 27 September 2010*

Shipping material to Switzerland

If you are shipping materials to Switzerland we recommend that you go through the following customs clearing company
www.sev-port-franc.ch.

The First Global Symposium declines all responsibility for customs and shipping costs.

Publishing of Marketplace information

The names of all organizations and institutions with Marketplace stalls will be published in the official Programme and on the symposium website.
